It almost sounds like it's "missing", interesting. I would check the normal things, check for air leaks, replace the PCV hose (I see it's the old style), made sure the TB is clean. That's where I would start.

 

My problem is very similar, although I see yours wants to stall out when you worked the throttle, as mine wouldn't do that until I was on the road, and put my foot down. Check the o rings on your tuning ports, as that appears to be where my vacuum leak was occurring
