Default x type headlamp surgery

Dear Fellow Xtypers;
After being told that my low beam headlamp socket was melted and could only be repaired by replacing the entire headlamp assembly, at a seattle cost of $660.00 plus labor, I got the idea of by-pass surgery from this forum. At a cost of $12.00, total, I got a H1 assembly from e-bay and then two .30 cent female connectors; an hour at most:
It worked beautifully.

Requires taking out the battery for easier access. THanks to the forum for saving my wallet over $1200.00

there a service fix for that and supplied jag connectors. but Xtype headlights suck. you look at them wrong and the plastic adjuster posts inside break. I just threw 20 out. I gave up a finding a good long lasting repair, they need to have metal posts instead.

Brutal, if you are going to throw any more of the headlight assemblies away, could I get a left and right headlight from you? I will pay for the shipping. I have an idea for a set of X-Type headlights and would like to get a pair to play with. I don't care if the adjusters are broken or not. I will fix that once I get them apart for the modification. let me know if this is possible.

Thanks.
