Finally!!! All 4 new rims/tires installed.. Updated with Mina center caps..
Well after a PITA to get the broken lug off and replace the stud and lug, all 4 new rims and tires are installed on my 04 X. The ride is so much better with the new tires and the rims look great and no more vibration( One of my old wheels were bent in the front).
The car was aligned properly and now I couldnt be more happier with the outcome. Plus I never have seen these wheels on any other X Type or even S Type in my area, so that would make it exclusive to my X!!!
Check out the pics..
The Mina center caps came in yesterday.. And I put them on today and snapped a few pictures. See the last post for pics..

I went with the Goodyear Eagle RS-A's 205-55-16's.. They were $66 a tire and a $40 rebate so it comes to $56 a tire. I read mixed reviews about them but for the price I could afford to replace them in a yr if they dont work out.
So far they are much quieter then the Continentals and work excellent in the wet weather.

Broken Lug
I strongly suggest that you invest in a can of "Never Seize" and a torque wrench. A one pint can and a small brush will last a lifetime.
I always use Never Seize on lugs and on the X-Type I also coat the area of the wheel that the hub rests against. I've had to remove wheels corroded to the hub with a 2 X 4 in the past. Never again.
Brush out a very light coating so there is none to fling out and get on the brake disc. As far as the torque wrench you should ALWAYS torque lug nuts or bolts. You will be amazed at what the correct torque (specs in the service manuals) is. Uneven torque contributes to warpage of the disc.

I am just so happy that it rides so much better now that the bent rim is off the car. The tires are noticably quieter then the Conti's and handle real well.
Again, very happy...

Lookin good pete, thanks for sharing
Some really good advice from wildbill there too!
The wheels do look great and really improve the look...how about a coat of nice silver caliper paint to finish the look behind them as you can see a fair bit of whats going on there?
Would really just finish it off...just a thought.
