My advice, don't play with your kitty. Use EXACTLY what is specified or it'll cough up a big hairball.

Infrared thermometer helps to diagnose cooling. Water will boil at low temp.
Check temp:
heads
upper hose
lower hose
top and bottom of radiator. Sometimes radiator is partially clogged.

Car is finished and running properly. I had to flush the cooling system twice to remove unidentified "garbage" . No more misfire and no overheating.
