Default X-type Propshaft centre carrier bearing

It is not possible to buy original new "centre carrier bearing" for Jaguar X-type, because Jaguar sell ONLY complete Propshaft.

Does anybody know ALTERNATIVE ways?

OK, one way is to buy used (not easy) or used complete Propshaft.

Which dimensions of X-type "centre carrier bearing" are? Inside raduis? Outside radius? Wide?

Is that "centre carrier bearing" mada by "*****" ?

Which car has COMPATIBILE or very similar "centre carrier bearing" (with equal dimensions) , what is possible to put on X-type Propshaft?

Thanks for answers.

I would also be interested in all responses to this topic..... along with any Jaguar TSB covering the procedure

Has anyone who has replaced or worked on this bearing.... bothered to put a grease-nipple in it ?

Luka, velika ti hvala!

I found million of peaces for Bearings Type 6013-2RS (65X100X18 in millimeters). What would be NEXT?

To find, all cars with bearing "6013-2RS" inside "centre barrier bearing", which is possible to buy SEPARATE.

Some of them have places (holes) for FIXING on similar places. like X-tipe. But, it would not be big problem. Isn't it?

In all cases, after every work with propshaft, it is very important to make BALANCE of propshaft!

QUESTION:

Who does know which type (types) of a car (exept all Jaguar X-types) has "centre barrier bearing" (for propshaft) with bearing "6013-2RS" (65X100X18) ?

It is not necessary if you do not disassemble the two parts of propshaft (central universal joint)

I did this investigation ten months ago and didn't get any helpful results.
So I just replace the bearing inside only.
Very difficult operation. I do not recommend doing this if you have no great skills in this field.
But I made it and it works very well.

Fantastic INFO from DA-X !

They sell "original" bearings:

Center bearings replacements, better than OE, save money! - Drivetrain.com .

It is 200 dollar + shipping .

Also, has to buy 2 gaskets for propshaft (about 65 dollars, shipping including).

Then go to expert, who knows to split propshaft and to change carrier bearing.

But, I will do this.

I found on ebay complete used propshaft for model 2001 X-type, just for for 70 british pounds. I think, IT IS AVAILABLE for 2004 X-type . Isn't it?

Of course, I need to buy 2 gaskets for propshaft (about 65 dollars, shipping including).

And go to service.

In previous post word COMPATIBLE is better than "aveilable".

But, what is this:

Center Supports - JAGUAR X-TYPE 2002 - 2006 - Driveshaft Parts

Also, on both sides (front, rear) of propshaft should be one BEARING, but different than "center bearing" .

I hope, those bearings are same. Who does know, exact term for that bearings?

Please for the LINK. Thanks.

The correct term is not available, because for this part there is no OEM part number.
But that's exactly what you need.

Hvala ti Luka. Poslao sam pitanje za "Driveshaft Parts" . Cijena je tu 85 dolara. Na "Drivetrain.com" je cijena 200 dolara. Velika razlika u cijeni. Sumnjivo mi je to.
