Default X type still not running

Here i go again. the 2004 6cyl 3.0 jag xtype still not running. it has been a year. was at fields jaguar for 9 months, they said finally we don't have anyone to work on the old crap. ok, then to a transmission shop. maybe a neutral safety?, not. i have many other cars that i work on and collect but this is new tech for me. I did scan with a snapon scanner and got these codes. P1638 can link engine control module/ instrument cluster circuit malfunction, p1699 can ecm/rcc network malfunction, p1260 security input, p1582 flight recorder data is stored.so where should i look? do? if anyone is up on this in the southeastern wisconsin area that can get this running again, I will pay. it was my sons first car that took him through highschool and college. he wants to keep it. so HELP PLEASE? OH by the way it says gearbox fault as well

Looks like you have a CAN bus error between the ECM and climate control module that is in the comms pathway to the Instrument cluster.
Start by using a test multi meter on ohms range and check each wire for good continuity of the CAN bus twin wiring starting at the ECM through the dynamic stability controller, through the J Gate module to the climate control module, then onto the instrument panel.
2004 CAN bus diagram below.
CAN bus data is carried on yellow and green wires between modules and the below diagram tells you which plugs and specifically which pins of the plugs to be looking at.

Could be a damaged wire due to rodent activity or physical misadventure.
If the wiring is all in tact, and you have not discovered any corroded contacts in the associated plugs, then it becomes a more intensive hunt as to which module is not working or dragging the comms system down.

mphy98, from what you describe, you have a loose/degraded CAN bus connection on the back of the climate control module. in the dash. This has been seen here a few times before. If you do a search on "CAN BUS climate control", you should find a bunch of posts on it. That will give you a good amount of detail and how to fix this yourself.
