lino, sounds like the radio was replaced at one time. You need to give them the radio S/NO number. that should then give you the correct PIN Number.

Hold your horses. I was able to unlock it by holding the following combination for a few seconds:

(rewind)>> PTY

(rewind)>> A.MEM

cant remember which one does the job but I have managed to unlock my radio that way numerous of times.

Good luck! hope it saves you from another trip to the dealer.

I read about on line companies that will give you your code for a fee. Don't know if they are reputable though. I did a quick search and found a site that says it is free: www.radio-code.lt

Not sure it will help, but maybe worth looking into. Good luck!

That's odd. Most US radios don't have security pins. I bought a CD on eBay to replace my cassette player and it went in and played with no pin.

Ok... Just realized, you're in London.

Easy ,
Get your VIN or Chassis number
(I found mine on the bottom of the passenger's side windscreen , or it will be in your log book).

Ring your local dealer armed with this information and your registration plate.
(Remember if your dealer is selling Range Rovers etc , let them know it's a Jag you're calling about)They give you code.

Happy days, took all of five minutes

Marcel1, if you read the above posts, they have all the info that you need there. No need to repeat it yet again.
