Default X-Type Wood Kit

This question is very important for me everybody I need to know from anyone who has or knows someone who brought a wood dash kit from Woodview.com or Mina gallery or any company, if that kit was the correct match for the OEM kit. I have a 2003 X-type which seems to have the common color wood dash w/NAV system (Light brown color), many companies claiming to have the right stuff but some call it (Birdseye Maple which it does resemble, Bronze Sapele, Caramel Sapele). Also who has the complete kit Woodview w/Sherwood kit claims 29PCS, Mina claims just a few PCS. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I did buy one a few years ago, but I can't find the order. I will look in my files to try to find it tonight when I get home. It wasn't from Mina or Woodview - some place in Texas, I bought it off ebay. Matched the birds eye maple almost exactly - you wouldn't know which items were stock and which were aftermarket.

Edit - I looked up my account - I bought it from Motorcars LTD back in 2005 for $167. It was a return of a custom order that somebody ended up not wanting. Maybe you could contact them and see if they can get one made for you - like I said, it is almost a perfect match.

You will probably need to call and talk to somebody. I don't think it is a regularly stocked item. I think it was originially around $500 to the original person who ordered it. The quality is worth the price. I"ll put some pics up if I get a chance.

Thanks for the pics Humy. I'm waiting on a "sample" from a distributer for Sherwood.

Greenhornet,

Did you ever get that sample from Sherwood? Did you order this kit? How did it turn out?

My car apparently has the bronze sapele, as per the 2004 US sales brochure. There are pics of the dash at the top and bottom of my Bluetooth installation page:

So that's what I'm trying to match, and I'm wondering how you made out.
