the other day driving home coming off an on ramp, I hit a pot hole i could not avoid, it cracked the rim on the inside pretty good and bent it....pretty bad deal......anyway can anyone recommend a place or link me to a thread where I may be able to purchase 1 good wheel...I need a chrome one and I believe the name is Aguilar..... any help appreciated btw its from an 02 XType.....

 

Most places are going to call it the "sport" version although I've seen it referred to as the Aguila a few other times. Chrome? Sounds like aftermarket. Seen them occasionally on eBay.

 

I saw this on ebay. It's item number 140499473291. Ain't chep though...must be the chroming. Then, again, JaguarParts.com has it listed at $570.38, and it's not chromed. The OEM Catalog as it for a similar price it looks like. So, perhaps the ebay one isn't bad after all. You could also check welshent.com to see if they have it.

That item isn't a rim, its the cost to exchange 4 unchromed rims for 4 chromed.

Check a local wrecker, can you get it repaired, I'd check that first.

May have to get it repaired or find a standard silver painted wheel and then have it chromed. Or get a set of the silver painted wheels and get rid of the chrome...I'm just sayin'. Chrome has never been my cup 'o tea.

PS $150 bucks for a set? I'd give them a call to see what condition they are in and then JUMP ALL OVER THAT! I got my Proteus wheels from Welshent.com and they were superb to deal with.

 

Dang! You're right. It is to get a set of chromed for non-chromed. I didn't read too much when I thought the caption sounded like it was for the Aguila wheels.

I believe those are the Aguilas. Also, I gotta think that was a typo. Worth a shot though.

 

Not sure if you've resolved the problem with your wheel, but I just noticed a refinished Aguila for sale on ebay, item #330520671902.
