Default Xenon HID Kit Install Help

I recenty purchased aH1 Xenon HID kit 10000K for my 2003 jag x-type to replace the low beam headlights. The problem is that the kit has two Wires for the power supply, one Red "hot" and one black wire "ground", but the factory connector only has one slot for one of these prongs. What I was thinking was that the Red wired be plugged into my factory connector, and that the black wire be grounded somewhere else in the engine compartment. Can anyone tell me if this sounds right? The last thing I want to do is fry my xenon kit or even worse the wires in the jag. Thanks.
Wiring diagram from manufacturer below:

I have heard that installing aftermarket HID systems can cause the BCM to think there is a lamp out and you will get a continuous warning.

The Manufacturer finally returned my call and verified that I was right. I installed ithe xenon kit with no problems or error messages. I even turned on the car when I only had one hooked up and it still didn't tell me there was a bulb out. Thanks.

Couldn't you have used the wires to the bulb as your positive and ground? I did a test last night and everything worked. Currently I have the bumper off and both headlights off the car. I would have completed the job last night but I didn't have any shrink rap. I'll take some pictures too! My kit is 5000k, I really need to see at night over here. I was so use to driving on streets with street lights until I moved into the sticks... Man it's dark at night around here.

Yes I could have used those wires, but I would of had to cut off the factory connector. I didn't want to do that though, just beacuase if I wanted to in return the car to its original state in the future it would be easy.

Well mine are in and look great! All the pictures came out like crap, I have to figure out how to turn the automatic flash off on my wifes camera. Weird thing was it had the slash thru the flash icon - not sure why its doing that oh well!

What you did makes perfect sense! I cut mine off, the kit I bought comes with the rubber grommit, so I had to drill out the back of my headlight access panels, looks pretty sweet. I soldered the wires but the solder I had was way too thick and made it sort of a mission - but all is well.

Alignment is always a few days of night driving to get it right - How is everything on your end?

Glad to hear it all worked out for you. My kit came with rubber grommets as well, i drilled 1/2" holes for them. That sucks about your camera issues, my wife has a professional D-SLR nikon so I swiped it and finally got some picts. I Also Installed xenon whit led's in the inner headlight, the stock bulbs looked like ****!!!

Car looks awesome, and welcome to the site by the way! What is the make and model of that bulb, I will probably run out today and pick them up - were they a pain to change?

Sorry I didn't let you know sooner, butI bought themfrom ebay. Check out this link, I got mine 3 days after paying for them. Just make sure you get the T10 bulb size aka 2825 so it fits into the headlight housing. Also, they were very easy to install just unscrew the rear cap reach in, pull the connector and bulb out replace with new ones and pop em' back in. should only take 2 mins. Good luck.

No problem bro!

Those led's are the replacement for the lens next to the low beams right?

Ya, its the small bulb inside the inner headlight where your hi-beams are. They are your parking lights. Here is a better picture of what they look like.
