Who got the best tips and tricks?????
Congrads! Which engine configuration did you get with your car? (There are different "tricks" for different models.)
One universal complaint is that the XE defaults to engine auto start/stop mode each time you start it, and most people searching for instantaneous performance would like the engine running at all times. This means you have to hit the little start/stop disable button each time you fire up your car, an annoying pain in the butt.
This feature can be disabled with an aftermarket ECU tune, or you can physically disconnect the wire in the trunk and it will disable the start/stop...as seen here in the f-pace section.

Start/Stop - There is a threat open explaining how to turn it off. it used to annoy me a lot at first and it still does sometimes but I've noticed that it gives me at least 3mpg improvement in city driving so nowadays I leave it on.
Make sure to get some summer tires if you want to truly enjoy cars dynamics and performance. They yield a significant difference in handling and overall feel
Exhaust will sound louder/better as you rack up the miles on your car. Don't worry if it does not sound all that exciting as of now.
Make sure your washer fluid is topped off. I realized that XE does not have washer fluid sensor so it will not notify you when you ran out.
In Dynamic driving mode and Sport gearbox, if you pull the paddles, the car will not upshift for you which is great. It really puts you in control of the driving. It also gives you much better responses as far as throttle, steering, and transmission goes.
If you want to go from paddle shifting to D, just pull any paddle for 3 seconds and it will switch from manual shift to D automatically.
Don't invest in inside mounted Radar Detectors if you have a heated windscreen. They will not work properly.
To fold both mirrors in manually, press both of the triangle buttons on the driver's side door panel

pretty cool stuff, thanks for the replies. Check out what I just posted in another area. well let me just copy and paste here........
"""""So I could have sworn my car had the 360 view camera but when I couldn't find the option, called my salesman who confirmed I DID NOT HAVE IT, I just accepted that I didn't have it.
Thats until 3 minutes ago when I pulled into my driveway, then put my car in reverse and a whole window appeared on the screen that I've never seen before. ( keep in mind I have been driving this car about a month now). So I was able to touch all the onscreen buttons, and even though they didn't do anything, could it be that I actually DO HAVE THE 360 VIEW CAMERA???
I HAVE A 2017 XE 35t AWD 'FIRST EDITION'."""""
ill attach pics too.

Justblessed, Jaguar likely uses the same software version for the camera control panel across not just the XE platforms, but in some Land Rover products.
It is likely the 360 button option shows on your control screen...but is not enabled because you did not get the hardware to match.
The "Tow" options for the screen (Icon top left) and "Hitch Assist" options are not for the XE 760 platform, I assure you. That's a landrover application I'd bet.....yours is probably the exact navigation unit you find in some landrovers.
Your camera's picture matches what we all see with the visual parking assist / rear facing camera you will find next to your boot latch on the XE. It is a fisheye lens that can really come in handy when backing out of parking spaces and such. This lens gives almost 180 Degree field of view, but not 360. Hope this helps clear up the confusion.
Finally, the 3.5 Liter Supercharged engine you have in your car is tuned down at the factory. This same engine is marketed in the 380 HP Jaguar SUV (F Pace) and a rumored 400 HP R version of the XE. The 340Hp your and my 35T features a very conservative tune- this engine is capable of so much more. I opted to get the 416Hp tune from velocityap, and am really glad I did. i'll be adding a crank pulley upgrade soon, once installed that pulley and the velocitap tune gets our engines up to over 450Hp. :-)
And be sure to take your traction contol off and switch to Dynamic Mode, as well as set the shifter to "S".... if you are flooring the accelerator for fastest acceleration purposes...otherwise the nanny will step in when you are at the top of your power curve and cut off your fuel supply when it feels the sleightest tire slippage back there...and Dynamic and "S" modes together give the best performance. It's a blast to re-create the 4.5 second 0-60 times Car and Driver and Motor Trend measured this car at, and with the right tires and a tune you'll get acceleration down to around 4.0 Seconds...Dynamic mode is great for hills and curves as it will hold you gears longer and provide some engine braking...
There is a ton of power back there stock from the factory already...your biggest performance challenge is putting all that power to the pavement. I love this vid (standard 340 Hp factory tuned):

Hey thanks for the detailed response Austin. I greatly appreciate it. I am extremely tech savvy, and can't believe I'm having such a hard time with technology in this car. I truly believe it's all the issues I'm having with the system. I mean Whether I have a 360 camera or not, that screen that popped up was the first time I've ever seen it in the month I'm driving. There are just so many issues that I can't tell what's what. I'm still playing around with rhes Incontrol apps, have you is d any? Anything but ??
Again, thanks for the reply.
Again, thanks for the reply.
One of the BEST tips to give you, that I am unsurprised to see that no one posted yet, is this:
The XE is very new. It’s not well-explained in the manuals, not online nor in the sexy leather book that came with your car. It’s so new, even your dealer doesn’t know the correct answer to give for something that you find isn’t working properly in the car,…and isn't always sure how to fix it properly the first time around.
So a lot of what it can do (and can’t do) will have to come from hasty opinions in forums, and MY most-trusted source, Jaguar USA Customer Questions Team. Link below:
https://jaguar.iservicecrm.com/f/9
There are too many switches and menu setting combinations to learn in even a month. SOME drivers are very sensitive to the changes those settings will make to your driving….some of us “don’t feel a blessed difference at all”. Some only feel a difference once we’ve crashed (I’m not kidding---the electronic nanny is heavily inserted in this car for a reason; this car is no joke).
So go patiently with the learning process, and stretch your pleasure out.
The PATIENT owner gets the maximum satisfaction from this car.
The overly Impatient owner regularly appear on these forums, with threads like “Well, I pranged the left side of my baby 3 blocks from my house…I guess I was playing around a bit too much…” or “I learned how the DSC modes work yesterday…the dealer said the damage wasn’t too bad…”
I personally have been driving my XE since November, and learned a hidden new option in the rear-camera just this March, and learned a powerful new option on my SatNav settings only 4 weeks ago.
I spent my first 3 months perfecting smooth-as-silk corners and turns without listing the car or revving the engine (I come from a FWD family history).
I spent the past two months experimenting with the mileage and energy feedback indicators on the instrument panel, and am loving how much a refined hand and foot increases my mileage efficiency through the roof.
It is way too easy with such a seductive performer like this XE, to dive right into “enthusiastic driving” and end up learning the painful way that we have to a whole lot to learn about stable, accurate driving techniques.
Not to scare you or sound like a Nanny. But seriously, we want to read you enjoying yourself immensely on these forums—I’ve already read more posts about a new owner colliding his car than I ever expected to read. No more.
Take one area of the car’s options at a time—spend a couple of weeks playing with just that area, and become an artist at it. Then choose the next area of the car’s options, and add to your intimate knowledge over the months that you own the car.
I drive down the road in my XE, and I see BMW, Merc, even other Jaguar drivers zip by, handle a lane change like RUBBISH, over-accelerate just to get in front a lorry… and I think “what an amateur, that car is wasted on him”.
Owning a performance car like this is one thing. Knowing that you understand each aspect of its behavior and can make it pur or leap in perfect proportion when needed, THAT’S master satisfaction.

Exhaust will sound louder/better as you rack up the miles on your car. Don't worry if it does not sound all that exciting as of now.
Make sure your washer fluid is topped off. I realized that XE does not have washer fluid sensor so it will not notify you when you ran out.

Don't invest in inside mounted Radar Detectors if you have a heated windscreen. They will not work properly.
To fold both mirrors in manually, press both of the triangle buttons on the driver's side door panel

Thank you for that long detailed reply. I really appreciate the time you took.
1st- please share the hidden features that you found. Lmao.
2nd- I am currently standing in the jaguar service center as I'm writing this. Last time I was here they hooked it up to the computer and told me I needed an update that was released May first and that it was going to take 2 hours to complete. I didn't have the time to wait so rescheduled for today. Been here 2 hours and they just told me they don't know why the screen is clutching or going black.
(Not to my surprise, they didn't remember who I was or the issue I had.) so they just hooked it up to the computer and said my car is up to date and that I don't need an update. I laughed and said, last time I was here you told me..........
so now that I caught him off guard, he stuttered and said I'll be right back. That was 20 minutes ago. I will def come back and post what happens.
But please let me k ow the features you found. THANK YOU.

Yea so he comes back and tells me that my car is completely up to date and he is contacting Jaguar to see what to do next. I said well how long is that going to take? He said the technicians get back to them anywhere from 10 minutes to 10 days and that he'll give me a loaner. I said no thanks, I'm not leaving my car here for an unknown amount of time when you don't even know what's wrong with it. I told him to contact me when they get back to him and let's him know what to do next.
Come on, I'm not leaving my car there when every forum I read said they have the same issues with the screen going black and flickering.

Use the softkey or hardkey to bring up the SatNav screen.
Touch the bottom Icon in the lower left of your Nav screen.
Then touch the “Information” icon. Then touch the “Traffic” icon.
Now the screen displays every traffic issue that is being reported to the car (via the famous TMC signal feed).
…If you commute to work in the morning, bring up this Traffic screen, and it may list about 7 traffic incidents around your route. Then, watch with amazement as after three minutes, the list has grown to 15 incidents, then 24, then 29, then 36 incidents!
You can touch any one of the entries to show where that accident/problem is on the map, but it almost makes you not want to leave your house, when you see how many tie-ups happen every morning. Holy Smokes!!!

IS THIS ALSO TRUE FOR THE INCONTROL PRO UNIT?
inthink I know what your talking abou. It's where you can have either traffic, or 3D, 2D, etc. That's screen right?
In STANDARD InTouch, if you’re already following SatNav’s directions someplace, on your map-screen, there are three or four touchable icons lined up on the left side or your map. One shows the speed limit, one calls up a mini-menu giving you voice options, turn-list options, etc… and the bottom icon calls up a screen that has SIX softkeys on it. “Where To?”, “Information”, “Emergency”, “Stop Guidance”, and two others.
The softkey that says “Information” is the one you want to touch on the screen.
With the standard InTouch, there are a couple of different ways to reach the same screens. I’m not sure if the PRO version has the same layout. But give it a try. You just have to go to reach the screen that has the “Stop Guidance” softkey on it. The “Information” softkey should appear somewhere there too.
The XE body-form is the most aero-dynamic I’ve ever owned, and you have to get used to the fact that for every hour that you drive the car, TWO-hours worth of silt, clay and dust settles on the back of the XE’s frame.
The rear bumper-body, the rear license plate, the rear lights, the Jaguar nameplates, the rubber trunk switch, the rear camera… HOLY JEEZ!!.
Apparently the “void” that’s created by the car pushing through the air (the famous slip-stream that racing car drivers know about in Grand Prix racing), “sucks” every particle of dust and dirt until a layer of it is sitting on your car’s behind.
It’s paint, and the classic opinion is that you should treat your paint with sealers and waxes all over your car.
But try this idea instead:
Your rear bumper is PLASTIC. It’s coated with a paint made for plastic (which in the past used to be a different molecular makeup from the paint that does on your primed metal).
When your rear bumper is super clean (no contaminants), polish your entire bumper with a PLASTIC POLISH. Mother’s makes about the most amazing Plastic Polish I’ve ever seen, but you can try others if you want. Treat your bumper as if it’s just a “plastic” item, and use plastic polish on it.
The buffed surface becomes so slippery that dust won’t stay on the bumper anymore. Maybe it’s being “sucked right off” by the same slip-stream air that used to dump all that silt on it. After a week of driving, my rear bumper that was polished with Mother’s Plastic Polish is dust free! (Well, almost. Except for the trunk area, which is still coated with a small layer of dust).
Plastic Polish on your painted plastic bumper. Not wax.

A former co-worker who restores and paints Porsches for a living suggested that I have my R Sport "ceramic coated" by his detailer guy.
I drove to Richmond and Joel the detailer spent 6 hours applying the coating to the entire vehicle including the glass, all the lights and the wheels.
He coated everything with 3 inch cotton pads.
Nothing sticks to the finish; water flies off.
As far as cleaning/maintenance, all I do is rinse the car with water and towel dry it. I'm very pleased with the result. The coating is very slippery......
