No discount if you special order. The discounts for in stock cars is very high and varies by trim level and options. While I was waiting for my car to be built Jaguar would send me lists with the discounted prices and I'm sure you could ask for more. The discounts were in the 10 - 15% range. I bet you could get 20% on a new '16 and they are virtually identical to the '17.

I inquired at three different dealers on 2017 S models with $68k to $72k MSRP and they offered discounts of $4k to $7k. I ordered my 2013 new and received a better discount. I was thinking $10k off was possible.

If you can find a Demo model you like that is where you can get big discounts. I found the one I liked with the Prestige model stuff and all options for 14K$ below MSRP. I got an extended 7 years warrantee with 160K Kms(Canada ). Great car but, you may want to order all the stuff you want and then you are less likely to get much of a discount. I also got a better tradein for my BMWE528i than I could get from MB, BMW & Audi so tough on them. I love my XF AWD(which I recommend btw) . Happy shopping.

I have a 2016 demo (with 40 miles on odometer ) 3 weeks ago for 15K off MSRP. The config is almost ideal - would be ideal if it had a HUD. Oh well...

There is a few 2016 XF R Sports at local dealer's that I would buy with that type of discount. Thank you for the information.

I just picked up a new 2016 XF R-sport for $19k off MSRP (which was just over $70k, or around 27% off). It was the last 2016 on the lot, and due to a clerical error, they thought someone had purchased it and were just waiting for them to get it for the last 2 months! When someone investigated, they dropped the price to get it gone. (which only took a few days)

At least that's what they told you Doesn't make any difference though as you got a great deal regardless the reason. Enjoy.

I bought the only new 2016 XF R Sport in all of California that had 90% of what I would have ordered. It is fully loaded but does not have the luxury package that I would have ordered and it is AWD and I would have ordered that. But the right interior and exterior color sliver outside and red/black inside. I already received the Black Pack vents, mirrors, trunk trim and also the Union Jack wheel cap's and sport pedals. Now have to order the front bumper lower black vents blade's and the S rear black valance.

Who is making a Exhaust for the R Sports?

Thanks! I'm hoping to get it back today after they determined the coolant cap was faulty last Friday. (I'm driving a diesel F-Pace loaner for now)

Hello all,

This is my first post here and I had a few questions. I'm coming off of a BMW 335ix lease soon and have my eye on a leftover 2016 XF Prestige with the Technology, Vision, Comfort & Convienence, Protection and Wheel Lock packages listed online for $57K down from $71K. My hunch is I can probably get this car for a bit under $50K since this is now going to be 2 model years behind the 2018's very shortly and it's been sitting on their lot for over a year now. I'd like to buy this car instead of leasing (I don't know if you can even lease a car this "leftover") and with that in mind I'd like an extended warranty so I can make it to $100K miles without worrying about anything.

So my long winded questions are is it realistic to get this car for a bit under or around $50K? How much is a Jaguar extended warranty?

This would be my first Jaguar but I've lusted after one for most of my adult life. It's in British Racing Green and while albeit corny I've wanted a proper British car in a proper British color for most of my adult life .

Any tips or advice for buying a car very much leftover would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Tom
