Hi,I'd like to install a cigarette lighter socket near the gear shift in my 2018 X260.I already have the original socket.Are there already power cables there, or do I need to run new ones?

 

There are usually not extra plugs on the harnesses as they are built per VIN to the spec of the car. You will most likely have to add the wiring you need for the power outlets, but open it up and see, maybe that was something they left in all the cars.

If you need OEM connector info I will try to help out with it as much as I can.

 

Just keep it simple and easy to remove. I would not recommend this if you'll insert a cigarette lighter as it might blow fuse/fuses or possibly cause a fire in the car
