Awesome. Definitely interested in your review. It just looked so ugly in those photoshopped pics.

Following.

Please check on the following things.
1) Drained my battery, (please check your battery voltage day after day without running the car).
2) No heated steering wheel button.
3) No beeping when using forward parking sensors.
4) Bug in the car info menu.
5) No way to set the clock in the cluster.
6) It doesn't show the warning messages.
7) OEM aux input and USB doesn't work anymore.
8) The audio is converted from optical premium sound to analog RCA, it doesn't have a real optical output.

I believe you will face the same issues, since this big unit has the same canbus as the small one.

What model year XF Dennis?
Can you show the climate buttons? The smaller units don't appear to have heated steering. Thank you

That's great news, but do you have any button in the climate menu to control it, in the small unit it works but it's needs to be turned on and off from the car info menu, there's no button to make it work.

Carlos, I know you've selected different vehicles and if I recall you only have 2 choices, 2009, 2013. I might be wrong but it if you select the later model, des the heated steering appear?

I tried them all, even different vehicle models, and canbus.

There just isn't any button, the manufacturer says it works that way, which is ridiculous, you have permanent heating...

Hi Denis,
Where did you get this one from? I'm looking at the smaller 7" unit for 2012 face-lift 👍

Well i guess that's video confirms it, no button for heated steering, and the rest of the issues will appear once in the car...

They are not the same, the canbus numbers are different, the decoder box number is also different, I can get a button on the screen once i figure out the firmware, good thing is that the heated steering wheel does work, and it doesn't bother me if it's not in the front Ac pop up,ill go into the car info for now to turn it on, going into this project I new every little thing is not going to be perfect ,if I get 98% I'm fine with that...because I no I'm not perfect
which some of my Lexus videos were we added buttons and updates to the firmware

The only thing holding me back is the front sensors don't work and the main clock can't be adjusted 😕
Do the small units come with a USB connector? I couldn't see any from Carlos or Hunnenkoenigs posts.

Well some of you guys, might not be bothered by the bugs, but i think it's ridiculous to enable heated steering, and not get anywhere to control it, the sole purpose of the car settings is actually to enable or disable functions not to control them.
Make sure you don't forget to turn it off else you'll get permanent heating.

Since it's for Jaguar cars theses radios are very overpriced, compared to other similar models.
I mean if you pay 1000 dollars for a radio i would expect it to work perfectly.

Front sensors not beeping is really bad you will bump Into stuff.

Yes the small unit comes with 2 USB ports they work fine.

As for software update, theses chinese guys don't bother, i have been asking for them, they just stop replying...

It would be good if many guys would show interest in buying, and point out the bugs and the info on this forums to the sellers, and hold back, hopefully they would understand that the could sell much more if these issues are fixed.
