I dearly love my XF, but the windshields seem to be made of the weakest glass I've ever seen....twice now in two months I've been happily motoring along and a truck coming the opposite way has slung a pebble at me, both times hitting near the edge of the screen, both times a full on crack that requires replacement.The original was replaced with OEM Pilkington glass, I may very well go with a cheaper one this time since it seems I am destined to eat rocks. Anybody else noticed this apparent weakness or is it just 2020 having fun at my expense?

I have the heated screen, wonder if it would throw codes if I did away with that feature since I don't really need it here in California. Sigh.

No codes from glass without heater. Mine was installed incorrectly, no codes just did nor work. Had to have the installer fix it.

I foudn that the generic glass also may not have the reflective coating. So decide which to get even without the heated
