Default 2009 XF 4.2 sv8 .. Dyno result

1. stock :

362.18whp / 51.57 torque (kg/m) .... engine hp => 420

# loss power : 16%

2. upper pulley upgrade & sports exhaust ( muffler )

377 whp / 53 torque

3. "2" + sports catalyst (200cell) .. ecu mapping (with remove speed limit)

397 whp / 57.25 torque

# I think my car loss about 16% of engine power

therefore, I guess now about 460 hp ..

What size pulley did you swap on? There are two options for our cars. The 1.5 psi pulley (very common) or the 2.5 psi pulley that requires you to grind the supercharger snout down a bit to install.

Do you have a ebay link to the puller you used to get the pulley off?

Thanks for sharing your dyno results. The numbers look great.

Great results my friend and thank you for sharing your results, 397whp is the highest figure I've seen on a 4.2 supercharged engine with the Eaton M112 which I'm assuming the XF also uses. What brand high flow cats did you use as I'm thinking of getting some and who did your ecu tune? How does the car drive after the modifications?

I did a lot of research on this a while back and couldn't find a good pulley puller. The supercharger we have is the TVS and not any of the M series. There were a few that companies had modified (not sure if it was Mina or not) something to work, but none were actually available for sale. So I just had mine cut off and the new one put on.

This pulley puller will not work on any Jag. I think the poster took a screen shot of the wrong one. That puller in the pic is for M62 and M45 Eaton which is Mercedes. On there website they do have a puller for the Eaton M112 and M90 which is Jaguar 4.0 and 4.2 engines. The Jaguar 5.0 has a Eaton TVS R1900, I'm not sure even if you bought the right pulley puller that it would work.

I bought magnaflow cats which have 200cell

ECU tune... It's long story..
1. Dynatek .. can't remove speed limiter
2. Revo .. can't remove speed limiter also, and improper tune
( result : engine blow so, I have to buy new engine )
.. because of excessive ignition advance about 6 degree ..
3. custom tune .. KOREA .. remove speed limiter & nice result .

after modification : more powerful & better response.. I like it

Did the magnaflow CATs make the exhaust a lot louder? I'm also running the Mina sport mufflers so I'm guessing it would be a similar sound to your car if I upgraded the CATs too. Do you have any problems with drone at all?

Crazy what happened to you with the Revo tune, I thought they were a reputable company. I guess they're comfort zone is more with VAG vehicles though.

I attach photo & sound..

I couldn't link my car sound..

Please click "Xf 4.2 sv8 exhaust sound - You Tube" <== below box

===========================================

Upgrading cats don't have any problem..

- Just think this -
Don't use 90 degree angled O2 sensor spacer which prevent to O2 check engine light.

Someone want to install 200cell sports CATS, they usually install O2 sensor spacer to prevent O2 check engine light (because stock CATS have 600cell. so O2 sensor detect different voltage)

But our XF stock O2 sensor is installed in the middle of CAT, so If you install O2 sensor to the end of upgrade CATS. the O2 sensor location can compensate 90 degree angled O2 spacer

Sounds great! Very similar to mine but slightly deeper, I think I may need to invest in some sport cats very soon. Thanks again for sharing everything, I'm still amazed by your dyno results.
