Default 2010 Jaguar XF heating issues

Hi all.

I have recently started suffering an issue with the heating / blowers/vents in my XF.

It started with the vent covers not turning to open/close when the blowers were turned on. I opted to keep them 'Always Open' as a short term remedy.

Then all of a sudden the direction of the blowers doesn't always work. It is very ad hoc. E.G I select to blow towards face and all I can feel is it blowing to my feet. Then sometimes either whilst driving or when I next go to the car it would work (blowers to face). Same with the temperature. It will blow cold, even high is selected. And then suddenly it will work after a long while or next time I get into the car.

I recently had a new alternator out into the car and it seems to have started since then. I doubt it is linked but it is bloody annoying.

Anyways, Hopefully someone in JagLand may be able to advise me as to what the issue may be.

Have a great day.

Robbo
