Hello,

I am new to this forum and I have recently purchased a 2010 XF S/C. Love the drive and the interior. Since this is my first Jag, I have some basic questions that may have been addressed before in the forums, pardon my inability to fish out the answers. Looking for some help to bring me up to speed.

1) My navigation does not show some states (e.g. MA, NY etc.) which is very weird. I got a Navigation Disc along with the car and it does show the map on the screen. However, I cannot enter addresses in the missing states

2) I love the initial start up of the car with the gear lever rising and the vents rotating. I was wondering, is there a way to shut them off?

On a side note, I got pulled over by cops twice in 2 days. Both the times, I was barely over the speed limit, they left me with a warning and hugely complimented the exterior and the grunt of the car. This has never happened to me before, really enjoying the feeling of a supercharged engine!

 

1. There are discs for different regions and I think the US is broken up so you'd have to get the disc for the missing areas.

2. You can disable the vent rotation going into the vehicle options via the touchscreen. As far as I know you can't disable the shifter rising out of the console.

 

There should be two discs. One is basically the east coast and the other covers the rest of America.

The dvd player for the navigation disc (it does not play moves, only reads nav discs) is in the trunk, left hand wall, upper part of the wall under a rectangular cover.
