2010 XF Premium - auto window close
Can someone please confirm this works on the driver side. After getting it back from the body shop (minor bumper scratch repair), I've noticed the driver window no longer rolls up after hitting the button. I could have sworn this feature worked both ways, opening and closing, on all windows previously.
It should. However it is routine for body shops to disconnect the battery. If so then your window lifts have to be reset, as a safety "feature". Something to do with the module needing to know where the top of the lift range is. The Owners Manual should describe the process. I think you raise the window to fully closed then release the switch then try to raise the window further holding the switch in the up position for a few seconds. This resets the auto up function on each window you go though this process with. Disconnecting the battery should have caused all four windows to need resetting.

The procedure is not working for me. My windows are all working fine when i click for them to go down automatically, but they are not closing automatically. I've tried the described procedure several times but get no click sound.
It is possible that this feature is not enabled for your market. Check your owners handbook or with your local dealer to ensure the feature is even available to you.

My car can only re-learn the windows using that windows door switch, not using the drivers side master control switches.
Try and do the learn proceedure from the door switch on each door.

I found a solution elsewhere on the web. This procedure worked for me:
Window reset
The windows will need to be reset if the battery
is disconnected, becomes discharged or power
supply is interrupted.
Reset as follows:-
1. Close the window fully.
2. Release the switch, then lift it to the close
position and hold for two seconds.
3. Open the window fully.
4. Release the switch, then push it to the
open position and hold for two seconds.
5. Lift and release the switch to operate the
one-shot function.
6. Repeat the procedure on each window
After finding the correct procedure instructions, I've been able to program from the drivers master switches.
