2009 XF Supercharged, where are the ABS "tone rings?" I've read that they are in the wheel bearings but looking at the location of the sensor appears to be over the axle.

 

It's an odd name - they're usually sort of slotted and wrapped round each drive shaft or the like.

 

On the front of my 2011 XF, the ABS sensors are build into the wheel bearings. I would have thought it would be the same with the 2009. I am getting ready to change the front wheel bearings on my white XF to get ride of steering wheel shake. I changed them on my grey XF a while back, and that was the only thing that fixed that problem on that car permanently.
