Anybody got positive (or negative) recommendations for warranty companies who would cover XFR (including supercharger components) ?

Some of the general searches cover the stock XF but wondering how the supercharged beasts fare with cost effective coverage ?

It's a 2010 with about 43K on the clock if that is relevant.

I paid $4500 for my Exclusionary policy with a $100 deductible through Costco. With that said Costco no longer offers this service.

Others I looked at were:

Carchex
Warranty Direct
Easy Care (expensive but awesome warranty)

 

I prefer to put the equivalent money aside in a bank and am $1000s ahead.

 

Now that makes CENTS!..Thanks for the practical wisdom...I did that for my HUMMER..I put a couple hundred every few months in savings....Fortunately, the Old girl never had a major breakdown in 10 years and when I sold her, I had a shitpot load of money saved and Bought my last SUV almost cash only.

 

Check with your local dealer and then check with other dealers. These warranties are negotiable.

 

i got a warranty from Jag for $3400. It adds an additional 6 years to my 2011. I thought that was a pretty good deal. I thought there was another thread on this a while back that went thru some options.
I haven't had to use it yet as my factory warranty just ended so I'm not sure how good it is... But for piece of mind it was worth it for me just in case something catastrophic happened

 

I paid $3400 for 4 year 48000 mile, my car had 60,000 when I bought it.

 

Just my two cents....I purchased the extended warranty for my XType. It ran out three months ago. A few weeks ago, the car began making a metallic grinding noise. Rod is loos in the engine. Had it been under warranty...all covered..lesson learned is to not let these cars out of warranty or you are on the hook for a high priced fix. Purchased a one owner XF last week and also purchased an exclusionary warranty (4yrs/unlimited miles). This time i will swap cars six months before the warranty expires. Like I said ...lesson learned.

 

To wander off topic a bit..

But noticed your Sig line has Plano..Did you get your Jag from Parkplace?..I did mine and worked with Brad there....Very happy with the way they treated me.
