The alternator on my Jag has kicked the bucket and i was given a estimate by the Jaguar dealership the cost to have it repaired. Can anyone tell me if this repair is hard to do because of the location of the alternator. Im trying to avoid paying the dealership.

It's absolute insanity to have this type of work done by a dealer outside of warranty. If an independent can handle anything, it's an alternator replacement. Jag dealers are crazy expensive, and they seem very corrupt from my personal experience due to the system that Jaguar created for them.

Find any good independent shop that would be comfortable working on a Lincoln LS, and save a boat load.
