Another problem occurred on my XF

The passenger side rocker switch closes the window but the same switch does not work when you want to open it.

Can you give me ideas on what the problem is?

It's the switch. I'd assume the driver's switch operators it normally right? If so then replace the passenger switch.

Thank you....will they have to takenthe door apart to replace switch?

Not usually, they are mounted on the door pull or door card? If so then they should just pop out for replacement.

An ECU reboot might be worth a try? Highly unlikely but you never know with all the electronics in these things. disconnect the positive side of the battery for 30 secs.

Disconnecting the battery is not worth even trying.

I assume the window motor is not making any noise when you try to open it? If so, it is likely the switch or less likely a loose wire.
