Just wanted to ask what is the difference between a 2009 and 2011 Jag XF in term of the exterior looks and interior? any extras?

 

No, interior and exterior are identical.

 

The big cosmetic changes are in the 2012 model as far as I know. There were some underlying changes in earlier model years; for example, I read in one review that the 2010 model has had added some sort of cross bar under the boot of the car to stiffen the chassis.

 

I think the type of rims (20" volans?) on my 09 Supercharged XF are only on the 09. I don't know about the rim choices on the other models.

I do own both cars XF 2009 and 2011, the exterior differences are the mirrors are sportier in the 2011, turn mirror lights are slim nicer, inside the only difference is that the navigation arrows show up on the dash and makes a huge difference, I hate the navigation with out it, and the best difference is the engine 4.2 liter 2009 and 5.0 2011 wow the new engine is a dream. I forgot seats heater is standard in 2011.

 

Minor differences as noted in the other threads. THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS PRICE!

 

I also read that from 2010 onwards the sound insulation was improved and a new windscreen used which improved noise isolation. I certainly noted that when I drove a base 2009 (a couple of loaners) they seemed a lot noisier than my 2010 (especially back axle noise).

 

I don't think 83 hp is a minor change. XF 4.2 is sluggish the 5.0 is a rocket
