Artura 19" size
Hello,
I thinking to get a new tyres for my XF. I have Artura 19", searching for rims width I found thats front is 8.5 and at the back 9.5. Can anyone confirm that information and maybe there is anywhere on the disk written dimensions?
In this case I thinking to put at front 245/40 and on rear 255/40 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT MFS (Dunlop SP SportMaxx RT MFS 245/40 R19 98 Y » Oponeo.co.uk) (at this moment I have at front and rear 245).
I would be pleased if any one would comment on my choice

I would think that you can go with the 245 or 255 width on the front and up to a 285 on the rear since the XFR's also have 8.5 and 9.5 rims and those sizes came stock. Although those were 20's, but the rim size shouldn't matter for width. Check the tire manufacturer recommended rim width and then go to the higher side unless you like the "stretched" look many imports are going with where the edges of the rim are farther out than the edge of the tire. I think it's ridiculous but to each his own.
Make sure to check how much wider the larger tire actual width is and check how much clearance you have in the inside and outside to make sure they fit.

If I am correct, the only car the Artura 9.5 wide rims (staggered rear size) were on stock was the XJ. All the XF cars that had the Artura wheels on them were 8.5 on all 4 corners (Artura wheels are only made in 19").
You need to make sure you in fact have a staggered set of Arturas on a factory set-up XF with 19" Arturas.
With that said, you can get 9.5 wide Arturas and the size I personally would go is 275/35/19 on the rear. You really can't fit 275s on a 8.5 wide rim.

that what im afraid of, the source of that information wasn't very treatable. At one of the first pages of this forum i found as well that its 8.5 all around.
Does anyone knows, can i found rim size on the will and were to look it?
According to this web page- Tyre size for rim width - The Brick-yard - 8,5 Inches; min- 225 mm; Ideal- 235 or 245 mm; max- 255 mm; so I steel can put 255 on 8.5in. but will it effect wear and tear of the tiers?

If the stock tyres are 245 then 255 will be perfectly OK.
I put 255/45R18 tyres on my old XFS with no worries.
It will result in a very slightly bigger rolling diameter, which will give a small correction to the speedo over-read, about 2 mph.
