Default Bent Nevis Rim..Again!

Well, I hit a Grand Canyon size pot hole last week (For those in SoCAL, SB605 Fwy exit to WB Imperial Hwy) that destroyed the passenger front tire and bent both passenger side rims... Glass 1/2 full, better to sacrifice the rim then a suspension component? Wheel guy (Jason's Wheel Repair in Chino CA.) is going to straighten and refinish them for $125 ea. Not bad and he does excellent work.

I'm sure mine are all bent as well, but I have a set of Varunas going on soon, so ... oh well.

I've always had great work done at Tru-wheel in Van Nuys.

Sorry to hear that. I know the feeling only too well. Had two of mine straightened last year and it looks like I have another one that needs straightening. Well at least they'll be good as new when they're done and the cost is reasonable. We're lucky to have these guys around. I wouldn't want to be buying new one's every year...

My Dad used to live up there, Verdugo just at the end of the 2. I have a great wheel guy, but it's always good to have choices.

I just saw your like wheel posting, if your still looking to get wheels for your Jag Fastlanz, these folks are a good option.

Agreed - I feel your pain. At least it didn't fracture. They are v expensive to replace...

I now use my Selenas just for winter and have Rohanna for the summer tyres.

Yours look like they really got bent - seems like they are quite vulnerable to pot holes. Low profile tyres really need stronger wheels for every day driving

Thanks Bigg Will I'll keep them in mind. I think this year I'll have my one Nevis wheel straightened and all of them resurfaced. I really like the look of the Nevis wheels. Not sure if any wheel would of survived that crater.

One of the main highways where I live seems to have a new pot hole appear every day. I have started to avoid it so I don't get stuck repairing my rims. I try to remember where any major pot holes are on any road I take so I can avoid them.
