Are you serious?

All these issues points to another issue of securing the vehicle (auto lock)

The button not working is also related to the questions I asked.

Anyways, this forum has helped plenty, and plenty. I dont know why you would contribute to pushing off my concern to another page when this can clearly cover it.

AFAIK, a defective trunk lid button will not prevent the car from locking or set a 'trunk open' warning.

There's harness links to the boot button, that is also connected to the electronic latch. Any of these wires can trick the on board system to throw those messages off, but then again the title for this post is Boot Unlocking problems, not necessarily just for dead button.

I'd guess that your problem is more related to the switch/sensor that detects the position of the trunk lid. It thinks the trunk is open and won't let the 'autolock' function work.

Hi. I have the same problem as you, manual opening works but all electronic openers not operating the lock mechanism, boot light comes on when buttons pushed or lock opened manually.
did you manage to find a cure for it or a fuse? Thanks

hi what I done on mine was change the locking latch. I got one on eBay which was labeled genuine, it’s been a while now and it still works and it’s so easy and straight forward to fit

The problem with the boot lid switch may be broken wiring at the boot hinge rather than the boot lid switch itself. Does the metal emergency key open the boot lid when you turn it in the mechanical lock concealed by that rubber blanking plug?
plug does not work when pushed
