Brake squeal?

Default Brake squeal?

Just had my rear pads replaced and they're still squealing had another set put on and they're squealing what should I do

A) What pad material did you go with? I recommend Porterfield R4-S or a good ceramic. Definitely don't use Hawk or any kind of BMW style compound.
B) Did you replace the rotors? How glazed are the old ones if not? You can usually get away with the old rotors if you do ceramic pads. You can cross hatch the surface of the old rotors with an awl. Old BMW trick.
C) What did you turn the caliper pistons back in with? Proper piston tool or big Channel Locks? The proper piston tool really does make it easier and less likely to damage the boots.
D) Did the pistons go back in happy? They could be dragging a bit.
E) Or did you go with a "Loaded" caliper? The "rebuilders" have variable quality and the pads are usually poop.

My brakes don't squeal, but I often hear a squeal when backing up w/o my foot on the brakes.
Had my tire shop take a look (while rotating the tires), but they came up with 'nuthin.
Ideas?
