Can anyone identify what goes to this connection on the engine intake manifold.
Hi, I completed a smoke test and noticed that smoke was coming from this opening in the engine intake manifold. Can someone please help me identify what connects to this point on the manifold. I cannot find any info online about this particular connection point.
I have attached video as well to show how the smoke is coming from the manifold.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks,
The connection is to the right of the manifold. This is the connection point that i need help identify what connects to it.
OK thanks. We are mainly a US forum and the US never got any Diesels so we are very weak on any knowledge about them.
I recommend using our friends over on the UK forum where Diesels are in the majority. UK Jaguar Forum

Your engine is (if i have understand righjt) same as used in Ford Mondeo / Fusion.
Even that is most reliable engine available on Jags its quite rare in JLR line. You might want to past the question on Ford Mondeo / Fusion forum and get much more replys.

Thanks for the input. I will definitely post on ford fusion thread.
There should be a 90 degree rubber elbow attached to a metal or hard plastic pipe that runs over the top of the engine and then clips onto the rear of the cam cover and finally runs down the back of the engine to the turbo wastegate valve as seen in the attached photos.

Hey I actually played around with it all evening and realized that the clip is broken and looks like an open valve. I have replaced the clip and reset the codes, and everything seems good to go. Hopefully this will resolve the problem for good.
