Car not Locking Unless Driver's Door Manually Locked from Inside First
My recently acquired XF is not Locking Unless Driver's Door is manually locked from Inside First, thus preventing mirrors from folding. Worked before I bought it, Garage put a new boot rubber on it before we picked it up, could this be a coincidence? The door mechanism seems to try to flip closed but gets sort of halfway and I get the souble beep-beep. I have seen somewhere that there may be a link between the boot (or trunk) sensor and the issue with the car not locking. Drivers door in situ
You’ll need to take the whole lock mechanism out and then take it apart before you can see the motors (there’s actually two of them sitting side by side)
