Default Cheee!! XKR-S map loaded on to my XF S/C

Flashed it, can't really feel a difference. My friend has a dyno at his shop so hopefully he'll have time this weekend to check and see if the flashed actually worked. I've already done a base run at 401 whp. From what my diagnostic machine says, it does state I have the xkr-s map.... so "cross fingers" hopefully it worked.

If the flash works, I'm a step closer.

Can you mind posting a photo of your XFR with the black rims so I can see it better. I've given a little thought to blacking my rims but would love to see photos of another black XFR with black rims before I spend any cash.

Thanks,

Darin

This sounds to be on par with the XFR. They make it go pig rich in the upper rpms all the time to cool the cylinder walls and such. This is a good and safe thing to do.

I will guess that your 20whp increase takes you into XFR grounds now I would think rather than a XKR-S.
How much did this cost? I bet ifyou needed to go to the dealer for issues or quirks they will be confused on how to flash it as it reads XKR-S and your cars VIN is a XF? Might get a bit hairy for a tech?

I did the flash myself, so I only had to pay for the dyno. My car doesn't read as an xkrs (vin) at all. A regular tech would not know this car has a xkrs map, unless they dig really deep. I was easily able to flash it back to stock for a base run, then reflash it with an xkrs map to see the difference.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but here you go. PM me if you want additional details. I will be doing a little photo shoot after I get my goodies from Mina.

And you made 401 before on the same dyno? I did 435 uncorrected on a dynojet with my XFSC.

Remember, the actual numbers are not what you are looking for but rather what it was from stock to after the flash to see what worked as a % increase.
Things like calibration, air temp, elevation, fuel, etc all play a part in the top number so base your opinion on the % increase seen.

I wish I knew, it didn't measure torque and I had to ask to have the a/f recorded. I might do the pulley and flash BigCat has I would dyno again then. The car makes more power then it can use already...need a traction solution first then add power.

Bigcat, true 401-420 hp with a flash is a nice gain! 20 hp probably feels like 100 on the buttdyno.
