Default Drivers Door Lock

When I try to lock my 2012 XF the lock moves a little but does not lock the car. I am getting round it by opening the window and lock it from inside and then pressing and holding the unlock button on the remote to close the window. Has anyone else experienced this and how do you fix it?
Many Thanks.

Yes many posts if you do some searches. Can you change the door actuator yourself?
It is kind of buried. What door has the problem?

Thank you for your response, I took the locking mechanism out and cleaned and lubricated it all and it is now woking. I know this is probably a short term fix. I will order the actuator motors for when it stops working again.

Good job and thank you for reporting back!
Yes I have read that before. Most likely a temporary fix. But now you know how to change it out.

Funny my battery went completely flat, and there's me thinking the C-TEK was doing it job only to go out and check that it had pack up
anyway got a new one battery charged ok and everything worked ok except the fact the car would not lock and yoy got the two bleeps when yoy tried to lock it
anyway I took It to the jag place where they charged me £114.00 to diagnose the problem, got a call aaying thw ccm needed replacing, spat me dummy out when he said it would cost about 4500.00 to fix it
As you may guess I said i'll have to go away and have a serious think sbout it
Away as I was about to drive off a lad came up to mw and gave me a telephone number, he said give him a csal he's got all the diagnotic stuff
gave him a call he said drop it off and leave it with me I'll sort the problem out
sure enough the next day I get a phone call saying It's fixed, he said nothing to do with the CCB it was the cable from the internal door levwr to the door actuator
So that was a good call
As from the main dealer, how many other pwople are getting ripped of with wrong diagnosis
