Default Electric Drain Problem

Hi, New to the Jaguar XF (2009 Model) Can anyone help me with a little problem. Something is draining the battery. Diagnostic check doesn't show anything, alternator appears working. The dash is telling me the boot is open, although it's not. Every time I start the vehicle the Open Boot light is on. The car runs fine with a fully charged battery but this drops over a period of a couple of days. If I am driving and battery voltage drops low while driving I can change the battery and we are all good to go again. Carrying two batteries now (one is new). I can't find the problem with the Boot Open being displays yet assume it would be a process of elimination. Anyone got any suggestions?

Kevin

Check the wires inside the rubber boot at the hinge point where the loom passes from the car to the bootlid.
Wires in there often snap
