Found a 2016 XF S in excellent condition for $12k. Supposedly it has a head gasket going. My thought is even with an engine replacement this could be a pretty sweet deal. Your thoughts? Thanks.

just depends on whether or not you want to deal with someone elses problem

 

could be a potential fun project if you have the resources and time. could also turn into a money pit. make sure you do your $$ math first. engine swaps might not be as easy as it sounds

 

Hi, just a note, the XF you're looking at won't be the version covered in the forum.

A 2016 would be an X260 not an X250. You might want to move this thread over there.

it was about 7k to have my engine pulled and the head gasket done.it might be a bit less for you since I replaced several injectors and had the head re milled. Seeing as it is a 2016 you might be able to get some assistance from jaguar itself to cover some of the cost. They under the table helped me out a bit.
