Default Front park sensors

I recently bought XF r sport 14 plate and despite all efforts I can not get front sensors to work. I have tried putting on reverse them drive and slowly moving forward but as soon as drive is selected the screen goes back to radio and no warning sound. I was literally a mm from wall. My car does not have manual overide button on overhead console. Any advise would be appreciate.

Hi - are you certain you have front park sensors?

Yep, not all vehicles have both front and rear. Front is optional.

I have 4 sensors on the front bumper so I assume they are fitted.

Check the spec of your car using Topix:

https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topi...cle/lookupForm

You'll need to register but its free for sole trader use.

Put in the VIN, it'll tell you the full spec.

Thanks for link. Why would they fit the sensors to the bumper and not connect them? Baffling. Might call into dealer to ask

Interesting! Send me your VIN if you want to save you going through the reg process. Maybe they're fitted anyway, or maybe what you can see are just blanks.

One possible reason could be that the front bumper cover was replaced with a used one which had the sensor holes already in it. Was the car ever in an accident?

also if the front bumper was removed to gain access, may have forgotten to reconnect wiring harness on reassemble...
