Default Gear knob mod

I brought this beauty off Ebay, it cost £18 which was more then the other buttons but it was the one that felt would look the best with my trim. Well worth it IMO as it covers the old knob where the previous owner had scratched it with I assume a wedding ring.

I have a similar one, but is just the Leaper, and doesn't say Jaguar. Looks really good

Is it just the top piece? Something that screws on? Or is it the whole assembly?

It's basically just a metal raised emblem sticker. I just peeled the back off, having already ensured it fitted and stuck it down. About 15 seconds fitting time and it makes quite a difference for the better IMO. It's like a final touch they forgot to add or the original had peeled off.

I really like that piece. I couldn't find one on ebay. Could you post a link?
Thanks

Sure, here you go: Leaper Badge For Jaguar XF XE XJ or XK Rotary Gear Selector Knob | eBay

I offered 18 and they accepted.

Dang. Won't ship here to the USA. Nice piece, though. I'm hoping to find it eventually.

There are others that do ship to the USA, i like the first one, was going to get that cause it matches the steering wheel but decided against it. The second one is a bit to bling for me

I'd be interested in one as well.. Hopefully they can come back with this one. I like the leaper with the lettering with it.

The issue I've always had with these stick on things is that they are either centrally aligned with the car when the shifter is down, or aligned when it is up. Due to the fact the shifter rotates I think it looks weird to see that it is only centrally aligned when it is in one of many positions. Thoughts?

Aligned when in Park. Crooked when driving. Never even think about it being askew when driving and it looks a lot more interesting than the blank shifter.

Not for me. My ocd would kick in everytime i drove the car and looked down at the emblem to see it on the ****. Pity the shifter rotates.

You need to invent one with a gyro that self aligns.

It still looks great, even when you rotate it, but there is another type that won't trigger you OCD, like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-XF...r/152647856356 or a pure black one.

to me that looks worse then the leaper. I have the leaper without the "jaguar" lettering and it being turned sideways doesnt bother me one bit.
