Default Grille badges from Mina

Does anyone have any pictures of how you have been attaching the grill badges from Mina gallery? I have reached out to them and they mentioned they are stick on type badges. Don't know how that will attach to the grille. In there a bracket attachment available or is this something that I should get direct from dealer? Sorry if this post has been done before...lol and thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.

I used the 3M body moulding tape with the red peel off side. I cut it into sections so that I could pack it into the emblem and make good contact with the bottom as well as having enough contact with the grille.

Looked at a bunch of photos and determined which junction of grille cells looked best, did a little trial and error with very light pressure to make sure it was in the spot I liked best and was straight, then gave some firmer pressure and then left if out in the sun to get warm and really establish a good bond.

It's been on there about 2 years now and is still holding really well. Mine lives in a garage in Southern California and doesn't ever see cold weather or many overnights outside, so that might have an influence on the adhesive lasting as it has.

3M double sided trim tape and Loctite super glue are your best bet. I used those two for installing my S badge: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...grille-153797/

Lol..ok. I have the grill badge...I thought it was going to be as easy as opening the hood and screwing it in from the back...HAHAHAHA...no suck freakin luck....there is no access from the top. Trying to take off the tray that is underneath the bumper also hasn't worked. I took off all the screws, and it won't budge. Any ideas on how to get the thing off...or will I need to go back to the service department and have them do it at their hourly rate?

Once you undo all the bolts and screws the tray should just fall off.
Maybe you missed the two torx screws which hold the front tray to the centre tray? I think they are T20 or T30. Plus there are one or two small screws each side that are horizontal rather than vertical, near the back of the tray. Also there are two wiring clips, one each side, IIRC they are for the front parking sensors, don't forget to unclip them.

I think IIRC, that there is a couple of hooks like on the front edge to help guide on to the front apron, so pull on the skid panel to the rear to release. Also, be careful of the Tire pressure sensor antennas just in front of the tires,, they will almost certainly seem to just fall out, but they snap in place for proper fitment

Yep, you are correct, you have to slide it out to the rear, I forgot about that bit!

So maybe you need to forget the mounting bracket method and go with the other suggested methods which don't involve a mounting bracket!

But I just paid $53 for the damn thing, and when I get an idea in my head, I will make it happen. If I have to take the whole f'ing front end off of this car, that grill badge is going to be placed on there properly!!!

Just stick with it, it's not that hard to get the undertray off and then the front bumper, I did it four times on my old XFS, three of those times by myself.

I tried to warn you. I bought 2 R badges for a fraction of what you paid for the bracket. My thought was that if it falls off I have a spare to put back on until I get a better plan together. Definitely feel I made the right choice. I already paid good money to get the grill out in. Wasn't going to do it for a badge.

I ended up using the toggle bolt method. Had to modify the bracket lightly so the bolt head would be recessed in, but it wasn't difficult at all. What do you think. Now I need to replace the s badge on the rear with an updated one.
