Hi Does anybody know if there is a procedure to do a hard reset for the electronics on a XF 2.2 d 2014 model.
I'm having intermittent problem with Climate control not working.

 

To reset the module concerned you need an OE-type tool. It's not likely to help but if you've the money...

Is it some type of diagnostic module?

 

He's probably referring to Jaguar SDD diagnostic equipment.
Try a battery disconnect first by removing the earth cable for a few minutes. You will have to reset the auto window setting afterwards though and maybe the seat memory.

Just a thought, have you had the A/C refrigerant checked?

 

Thanks for your reply. I assume the radio also requires resetting also. I haven't had the a/c checked but I would have thought that if it was empty it just wouldn't regulate the temp.
My intermittent problem is blower does not work and the air vents don't open.
