Default I hate to even ask this....

So after buying the car, my wife has decided she doesnt really like the leather seating surfaces. Short of taking it to an upholstery shop and having them redone in alcantara or something similar.......do you guys have any suggestions?

Which trim level did you get?

During my model year, the Premium gave you much much nicer leather interior than the Kia-like base model.

I think the Premium is the low rent version in your year, and the Portfolio gives you the good leather. If you have Portfolio and she doesn't like it, then you'll have to pay through the nose for a custom interior that will inevitably have that home-made look, but she may like it better. If you bought the lower trim model, I would bit the bullet and trade it on a higher trim level.

My first reaction would be to tell her to take the bus but I'm from a different generation to you.

On a more serious note, TRADE IT. To change the upholstery is going to be very expensive and then you will take another hit when you do come to trade it because potential buyers will expect leather.

Ah, so that's what GGG meant by "TRADE IT".

Sorry, but the only thing you can realistically do is to get a fabric seat cover for the passenger seat.

Passenger seat? Don't you mean back seat!

Stick some velcro to the car seat. That'll stop her sliding around.

We've owned the car for two weeks lol. Trading it isnt an option. We've come to a mutual conclusion that she is going to save her pennies and were going to have the center seating surfaces swapped out for black alcantera. Im no stranger to modifying cars so I know its going to be an expensive endeavor. As for the trim package, its the sport. It has the black leather seats with red stitching. The new covers will retain the red stitching and probably add either the leaper or the Jaguar font to the back seating portion somewhere.

Trading the wife isnt an option either, I couldnt find one less crazy that lets me spend retarded amounts of money on expensive hobbies. Lol.

I would say too bad. There are some quality seat covers made for the XF. They run about 300 to 400 dollars. That would be the only viable/affordable option.

I am more worried about how they look than how affordable it is. Hence why I convinced her to do it right and have an upholstery shop modify the factory covers.

Understood. You are a much kinder man than I. I would spend the money elsewhere on performance upgrades/tunes.

Shes going to get enough tickets in this thing as it is. She came from a 170hp 1.5L Ford Fusion. Ive had 500+hp daily drivers. This is like giving a coke fiend the keys to Tony Montana's private stash.
