Default Jacking points Jaguar xf 2.2d

Help please….. I cannot make sense of where the jacking points are on my 2013 2.2d xf.
I have seen the diagram from the workshop manual but the front ones are so far inboard I don’t think my jack will reach. Or do I need to remove the plastic covers underneath first? Can’t see tyre shops doing that!

What jack are you using? If it's a trolley jack or similar just roll it under and it should reach fine. Don't need to remove anything. But yes - much further inboard than I've ever seen on a car before!

If you're using the scissor jack (which is really only for emergency use - I wouldn't use it unless no other options) then you have to use the point marked on the pinch weld at the edge of the car (see owners manual for details)
