Default Jag upgrades

Hello all. I am new to the forum and to Jaguar. Owned Benz last 15 years and recently changed from E63 AMG to 2010 Jag XF SC. With Mercedes (even AMG) there are aftermarket upgrades everywhere. I am having a hard time finding reliable info or links to anything aftermarket in regards to performance for Jaguar. Even the dealer couldn't give me any info. I live in Texas (Dallas area). Trying to look into ways to beef up the exhaust a little and anything else anyone can suggest that can improve HP without doing any major engine mods. After reading a lot of posts I see there are a lot of really knowledgeable people on here and would appreciate any input. I had never even looked at Jag until last week so I am trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can. Thanks.

Welcome, not a lot of choices for Jag But the few there are will make a difference.
First thing I would do is a tune. The XFSC (470hp) can be tuned to the XFR (510hp) spec. An under drive pulley will get you into the boost sooner. And make the car feel immediately stronger.

Any pulley in particular you can recommend from a reputable shop/online sales? I have the 4.2L.

Check out Mina Gallery, they provide a lot of cosmetic and performance enhancements for Jags. Velocity AP is another, and there are a handful of British tuners that offer performance packages but they are usually $$$

Twin Cities Performance makes an intake if you want to go that route, and there's actually a member here that is an engineer for an aftermarket parts company and is designing his own intake for the XF. Anyway there are several pulley swap / tune combos you can choose from and you can go the custom route like some of us did and weld in x-pipes / remove resonators. An uncorked Jag exhaust is a thing of beauty

Congrats on the new car!

Lots of threads on here on pulley and tune - worth reading through to get ideas. And many people have pulled the trigger and done it.

Some people talk about more HP from performance air filters (I don't believe there's much there...)

The Mina Galleries exhaust is terrific - call them and mention you're on the Forum and they will do you a great deal on one (very inexpensive and it sounds wonderful).

Check your engine - the 2010 XF SC is a 5.0L engine. If you have the 4.2L then I think you have the 2009 SC - it's impt as there are of course real differences in aftermarket parts depending on which one you have.

About a year ago there was a thread on 'top aftermarket adds' which had a lot of great ideas on it.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the help guys. Brit the car is actually a 10 XF SC. They changed from 4.2 to 5.0 in model year 10, however, some of the early model 10's were produced b4 they changed to the 5.0. I didn't learn this until after I purchased the vehicle although I am not sure how much I really lose on it. I have been thru some threads and read on the pulleys from mina. I see they sell a package deal with pulleys and exhaust so I will call them and see what they can do. I had seen them online but wasn't sure if they were a good place to buy from. After looking around though they don't have much competition lol. In regards to tuning to match the XF SC to the XFR does anyone know a place in Texas? I have called 10 diff shops and all of them shut me down as soon as I tell them I own a Jag. They don't even know anyone to recommend. Thanks again for all your guys' help!!!!

Do you need to chip it if you upgrade the pulley?

Default Jag upgrades

From what I understand, you do not need to tune it for just a pulley. The stock ECU will adjust for the changes. Whether that allows you to take full advantage of the additional airflow is another matter.
