Jaguar charge cooler pump connector.
Hey guys so I have a 2010 Jaguar XFR which recently had the engine replaced. Well the shop did a good job except for the fact that the charge cooler pump located on the passenger side radiator was not plugged in. The connection on the pump was just hanging not connected to anything.I could not find a connection for it anywhere. I decided to take the air intake out, and the fan, front bumper and both headlights looking everywhere for that connector but no luck. Where Does that connector come from?! I spent countless hours trying to trace the plug and it’s like it doesn’t exits. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
As no-one with an XFR has chimed in, I can tell you that on the 4.2 s/c model the connector is attached to the radiator support bulkhead, on the right-hand side, from memory I think the wires pass through the opening next to the radiator and the connector is clipped to the bulkhead.
As everything would have been moved aside in the engine removal, it's very possible that the wires have been tied back somewhere and not routed back to where they belong. I'd be going back to the shop that did the work, pointing to the not-connected pump and requiring them to make it right. You'll get restricted performance in hot weather without the pump running.
