Default Jaguar XF 2009 - Navigation module

I have recently bought this 2009 Jag, which came fitted without a Sat Nav. I have found an aftermarket Android Auto / Carplay system, but for this to work I need to activate the Navigation port on the head unit. I have been told I would need to use SDD and CCF to change the configuration files. Is there anyone who can help please?

I thought they all had sat nav? Have you looked in the boot for a DVD player?
For your year of car, the only thing you can get is from Mr12volt jaguar......https://www.mr12volt.com/en-gb/produ...49NfrSQvO9kaAs

Mine did not have a sat nav installed. I have installed an interface similar to the one you mention, but I am told I need to activate the navigation port, probably using sdd and/or ccf. This is where I need assistance

I also have never seen an XF without navigation.
Any chance you could post a picture?

OK thanks as I thought there would be no screen? Instead Jaguar deleted one of the functions (Navigation) and left the rest unmodified. I wonder if adding navigation is possible since the dash and screen are already in place?

I have been told that the navigation module ccf file needs to be updated to enable the navigation port to allow a 3rd party interface to display android auto or carplay, and I am looking into how to do this, with the limited experience I have on the JLR SDD system

If ytou fit a 3rd party unit, it will come with carplay/android & you can use any number of app based navigation, so not sure what your after??

The one I have got needs the navigation port of the original head unit enabled. As my original unit did not come with navigation, it was not enabled, which is what I am trying to do now
