With only 1 OEM key you will need to delete all keys and then reprogram the 2 you have. There is a time element so when your ready get both new keys laid out where you can grab them. Make sure you can tell the difference between them as you will need to put the key in and take it out several times during programming. I just put a piece of tape on one and not on the other one.
Now SDD is a big project and you have not mentioned if you have the proper DC power supply? This is the number one mistake us shade tree guys make. A battery charger is NOT a regulated DC power supply with low ripple.
Also hope you have good keys considering where you got them. I have had very good luck with the Chinese copies myself and have no problem using them. But be aware if things don't go right that could be the source of your failures. This is a high risk operation and I have bricked a car doing this for about a day. I was sweating bullets the whole time I redid the programming! But I started all over from the beginning and got the keys programmed in the end.
I would do some searches as we have many threads on adding keys.

I would stop until you can understand what's involved. I hate to see you get in the middle of this and something goes wrong and now your stuck!
SDD is a huge project and we have dozens of threads so if your serious I would start studying.
I know people will not search and read but here is a quick search and it returned 385 threads! There is a LOT to know about SDD BEFORE you hook it to your car.
SDD Threads
I have a working SDD and it took many hours of pain to get there. I have other scanners and will only pull out SDD if I must. It's the most powerful and the most dangerous tool we have for our Jaguars.
One request? The moderators have tried to keep the SDD threads together as there are so many going on. Please post to an existing thread as all this has been gone over before.

Regarding the battery, i never used any charger or spécials tools, just another car next to my jag turned on and two câbles to connect them, that will do the trick.
For my part, last time i had a trouble to close my car, i used "imobilyser" procédure to learn keys with keyless access system.
Bye

Again and again NOT a battery maintainer!! Read what JLR wants when using SDD. A DC power supply with at least 30-50 amps and low ripple. Many disasters have been caused by this. When programming this ripple measurement is critical.

good job club making the power supply a critical part of the process. Not just an afterthought. I would also ad that the laptop be plugged in for safety if possible. I was programming once and lost track of battery charge on laptop. No warning. Just boom laptop off and car left in a non running state. Luckily i had vid block saved in a previous session that saved my bacon
I have been bit multiple times in multiple ways because of inadequate power!
First I went with a battery charger. Then found no that's NOT the way to go. So I purchase my IOTA-55 DC power supply. Wish it had an hour meter on it because it has been hooked to my XJ for many hours! I am cheap so hunted around on EBay for a used one several years ago.
Next I found that running the laptop on battery without the AC backup also caused me problems as it went down when I was hooked up to a car same as you. Never again! I run it in the shop AC powered ONLY!
The last time I got a DC power adapter for the SDD laptop because I do data logging and need the laptop to travel in the car while getting the data logs. The laptop battery went down in mid run before I got that DC car adapter. Again I paid the "Stupid Tax" before I got a setup I could trust and use.
