Default "Keyless" 2009 XF 4.2 S/C

Hi. I have a 2009 XF 4.2 S/C (US model).

I had it in for service this week, and somehow the car now says it has no keys "attached" to it. Neither of my two keys open the car, nor does it accept it in the "manual" slot I've used in the past when I've done smart things like washing the keys in my jeans...

Now I'm without the car for Easter while the garage is waiting for a new key. Have anyone heard of similar, and do you think a new key will fix it, when the two original keys don't work?

Regards,
Håvard

I'm puzzled why can't they reprogram it to accept your current key(s)?

+1, why pay for a new key? reprogramming the existing keys would be the first step, after changing the batteries in them...
