Angry Locks

Is anyone else having the same problem as myself?
I bought a low mileage XF in Feb 2018 (car first registered Dec 2014). Within a month the off side rear door lock failed. Took it to my local dealer, who informed me that it was out of warranty and woulds cost approx €400 to repair. After much argument and, the fact that I could not lock my car, I agreed. In march 2019, front off side lock and rear near side locks failed. Again I had to get them fixed. In the last few weeks, the remaining front near side lock has failed. Now, I can still lock the car but, that door does not open on the fob.
Despite varius emails to Jaguar, they are not willing to asist in any way.
I am I the only one who thinks that this sort of 'parts' failure in such a short time, should be covered by the manufacturer?

You can think that all you want, but until it happens in a very high number of vehicle, the manufacturer will not say its a defect. They could blame the lack of use for parts sticking and a multitude of other things. Its more down to bad luck than anything else.

Think you may be in the wrong forum here cluggy, if your car is a 2014 model it will be an X250.
Door locking problems seem to be a common complaint with this model.

Did you change the battery in the fob?

Because I've had the same issue. Would not open or lock with fob. A new battery fixed it.

Yeah, tried that. It just seems to be one lock at a time. If I lock the door from the inside, it stays locked.

I've moved your thread from X260 to X250 forum.

I had the cable loose form the latch in the door card, there's a groove where the end of the cable should snap into. I had what you described, might be worth, removing the door card to inspect.
