2009 Jag XF Supercharged... Anyone know what "Restricted Performance" on message center is? Was on, then disappeared after a few miles.

RP is well known with many Jaguar models but extraordinarily it is not even mentioned in the 2009 XF Driver's Handbook! When it happens, the engine is restricted to around 2000 rpm to 'prevent damage'. It is caused by one or more sensors recording an out-of-range reading. The only way to identify this is to have the DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) read.

Restricted Performance is a serious issue, the car is telling you something is wrong with the engine and it is limiting the power output as to not break anything. This is also commonly known as "limp home mode"

Get a code scanner or get the car to the nearest shop. do not drive it around
