I picked up my new 2011 XF Supercharged yesterday!

When my wife and I started looking for a new vehicle, we had in mind 3 things that we wanted.

1. We wanted something classy and somewhat unique (where we live you'll likely find 3 BMW's or MB's at every corner).
2. We wanted to keep some of the luxury ride of our Lexus.
3. We wanted something with some performance (which our Lexus does NOT have.)

I figured I'd have to settle for maybe 2 out of 3 of these but am ecstatic that I found a vehicle with ALL 3! I love it!

I'm proudly glad to announce that I'm part of the club now!

Is there some sort of secret handshake or something that I need to learn?

 

No handshake but welcome to the club. I purchased my XF SC last month and I love it!

 

Beautiful car. Congrats on the purchase! Get out and drive you'll love every minute of it!

 

I think the secret handshake is more like smoking the tires to show you have the SC and not the naturally aspirated engine. Press and hold the DSC button for 11 seconds and then put your boot in.....be careful as you will be sideways in a split second.

Ah, so that would explain why the sales guy explicitly cautioned me about hitting that button unless I was certain of what I knew I was doing.
