New battery/alternator "battery not charging"
In my case after all the headache it turned out to be the little *** single wire that comes off the positive battery line held down by a single nut on top of the post.
well you figured it out. I was going to say you need to check that wire, it has a fusible link in it. It always gets blown when people jump start a car with battery cables and get careless . if the cable clamps bite into that wire when hooking up to the battery you just provided a short to ground and there goes the fuse. seen many independent shops replace alternators because they don't know the car and the owners are out a lot of money needlessly for a $5 replaceable link. then they come to us cause its still not charging and we replace the link.
hi, could you tell me where this wire is as I am having the same problem now? Thankyou.
