Default New shoes coming

Decided to give the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports a try on my '10 XFR and will pass along my impressions next week. In meantime, my OEM set is for sale here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/p...ps-sale-58118/

Anxiously awaiting your impressions, as I've heard nothing but good things about the Super Sports. Just be sure to drive them a few hundred miles before coming to any final conclusions, as all new tires need break-in miles to get rid of slippery mold release material. Also, new tires are almost always quieter than old ones, and it's harder to remember how the Dunlops were when new. Still, you can often tell differences and I for one, will be very much looking forward to your report!

Are the Michelins better then the Perili P Zero?

Hmmm... Several hundo cheaper too. I'll have to remember those when it's time to replace mine!

Talking Awesome

These tires are every bit as good as advertised! Haven't tracked/raced but I do enjoy aggressive twisties and these tires HANG. Turning is point and shoot, precise. The ride is surprisingly smooth/comfortable, especially for 30/35 tire profiles, pressure at 34lbs. Haven't driven aggressively in rain but standing water is nothing, straight thru. Can't comment on hard braking either but expect it to be excellant. Noise might be a little better than stock Dunlops, hard to say though low speeds it is quieter. In my research thus far, I just don't think you'll find a tire anywhere comparable, not even close. We'll see about the mileage claim but I'd buy these every time. Love em.

I just put Super Sports on my XKR175. Totally impressed so far; vastly superior to the both the Dunlops that came with the car and the P Zeros on my Porsche. Cheaper AND better is a rarity these days.

Also, I must say these tires perform extremely well in the rain. We've had heavy rains past week and the car handles as though it was on a dry roadway, not wanting to push it to its limits is the real challenge. I love these tires.

I just ordered the Continental Extreme Contact DWS. Great reviews and had these on a CamaroSS I used to own. I wanted all season high performance and I think these are the best. For the money you cant beat the Conti's

I just put on the Continental DWS tires. I am very pleased with them so far. I feel like they are much quieter than the stock Dunlops.
